The DREAM Affect Foundation and Bisong Art Gallery bring “Culture: Our New Normal.” This temporary exhibit explores African culture and history. Candytopia is an art exhibit that takes visitors on a unique candy-coated adventure. Experience the limited run of this one-of-a-kind art show through a dozen rooms filled with different confectioneries. The event lives up to its name, as they feature many exhibits from previous installments and new ones with local artists. Some of the exhibits also take inspiration from the city’s local culture, so be sure to look out for that.

MacGyver: The Musical
Sit back and watch as MacGyver takes on East Berlin of the Soviet Empire during 1989. The TV shows original creator stands at the helm of the musical production, as they combine aspects of rock-and-roll with traditional Broadway musical tropes for a one-of-a-kind experience. It is a beautiful time for everyone with excellent production design and plenty of laughs. The cast will also choose an audience member to fight against the Soviets as MacGyver every night. Lunar New Year Festival by the Chinese Community Center
Celebrate the turn of the New Year with the Chinese Community Center through their Lunar New Year Festival. It has been a tradition going on for 19 years in the proud Asiatown district of Houston.
